I've been waiting and waiting for this thing to go online. I don't think we have all the bugs worked out yet, but I am so anxious to share, I'm going to jump in today. Eventually, I'll have a link on the side of the blog and on our future website.
So....here you go....just click on the link below and it will take you to our brand new Lamb-Cam!
Tanglewood Lamb-cam
This morning, while the wonderful Heather at Marestare was helping this practically computer illiterate person get things going, Fiona, one of the CVM ewes gave birth to a set of twins, right on camera!! I'm so sorry you all missed it. Most likely there will be other chances and soon that pen will be populated by lambs, lambs and more lambs. That's Gabby and her ewe lamb walking around in the pen right now and in just an hour or so, the pregnant ewes will come back inside and stay there for the night. Early this morning, we had another set of triplets (thanks again, Henry). We're up to 14 lambs from 7 ewes.
The above picture is apropos of nothing in particular, but the sun is out (finally) and, if I squint, I can see some green grass!
(somebody please let me know if this works!!)
Oh how fun! It WORKS!
ReplyDeleteIs that you I saw with the bucket, probably feeding them dinner?
kim
Yup...that was me. Guess I'm going to have to clean myself up a little before feeding time now!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh how mesmerizing. I wish the picture was a bit sharper, but I see sheep live!! If I'm up at 3a.m. watching this, it's your fault!
ReplyDeleteIt's sharper in daylight. I'm not crazy about the way it looks tonight. May check on that to see if it can be improved.
ReplyDeleteI wondered at first if it was working because there was no movement, but then thought to myself "What do you expect, it's the middle of the night!" And then a lamb moved! and another! Yay! And then I thought, "This is so cool!" I can hardly wait to check on it tomorrow! What a neat idea. :-)
ReplyDeleteHow cool...it works!
ReplyDeletethat is very cool...now you have to brush your hair and spruce up a bit. I saw a calico cat pass though but it looks like the ewes are taking their afternoon siesta.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I will keep an eye out for activity.
Hey, that is too fun! It's like they have their own reality show! It's about time we have some good reality programming :) (you'd better turn that off when the dating season begins... Henry might not be comfortable with that. Or who knows, he might?
ReplyDeleteThere's no doubt you're getting so many lambs out of him! I don't think anyone expected anything less after we were introduced to Henry!)
Congrats on all the lambs!
COOL!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined to Farm Friend Friday and I can’t wait to check out the lamb cam--what a great idea!! I want farm babies so badly-we don’t have any as it’s not our time yet--but I am hoping for piglets this summer :)
ReplyDeleteAmy from Verde Farm
Oh Dianne, This is so, so cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you from all the sheepless people out here.
This is my kind of reality show.
You could call it "Desperate Ewes of Tanglewood Farm" although your sheep might resent the dissolute inference as to their character.
Nice! Guess you got it working :) Looks great.
ReplyDeleteLambs! I see lambs! Yay! Last time I checked I just saw a really big sheep looking a little miffed. Now there are lambs. Woo hoo! I'll be she feels better. LOL
ReplyDeleteVERY cool!
ReplyDeleteNow I want one. Except that my sheep are never shut in so it would probably be blank 99 percent of the time...
I wish I had as much energy as some of those lambs. Fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great techno gadget to have!! I would have a hard time not watching it! It was so much fun to watch the lambs frolic on Saras blog. Reminded me of the nursery rhyme... only changing the words to "And everywhere that lambies went the cam was sure to go!"
